Financial Assistance for Other Village Institutes

A recent analysis of the Parish Council’s finances suggested that we need to build greater resillience so that we can cope with unexpected costs. Consequently we have introduced some financial guidelines to help decide whether or not to donate money to other organisations.

The Parish Council is happy to consider contributing towards a specific project (e.g. an information board or seating) for other Institutions in the Village. To do this we would need to have some more details of what is proposed, the amount requested, how the rest of the project would be financed and a rough timescale for completion.

The Parish Council would not normally finance running costs of a Village organisation unless there is a particular problem with raising funds in the short term. Should there be a shortfall that cannot be met through fund-raising, entrance charges or other grants we are happy to discuss how the Parish Council might help. To consider this we would need to see accounts for the past three years and your projection for how future costs will be met to ensure the long term future of the organisation.
