Hire the Hall

The Village Hall is situated at the top end of The Street, opposite the Poplars and next to the footpath to the school. It is available for hire for full or half days and evenings.  The village hall now has new accessible toilets, a ramp, acoustic ceiling, better lighting, comfy chairs and 5G wi-fi. It’s a real village asset.  Great for Childrens parties, presentations, trade exhibitions and social events.  And its cheap too!  Charges as below or download the price list here :

Village Hall Improvements

The past year has seen a flurry of activity at the village hall.  The access ramp was completed and a new acoustic ceiling with lighting was also installed.  We are grateful to Alan Wright and Keith Harris  for installing new double glazing units in all the windows which gives the hall a much better appearance as well as improving our heat retention.  New heaters, which are preset and only need to be switched on  by users at the mains, have also been installed and insulation has been completed which should make the hall more comfortable to use as well as being more energy efficient. The internal decorating has been finished and Rob Powell has made an excellent job of restoring the doors. Outside, the sheds have both gone creating extra car parking and the new storage facility is now fully in use  which enables all the chairs, tables, cleaning equipment and other things to be stored properly leaving the main hall free of clutter.  We are very grateful to The Geoffrey Watling Trust  for awarding us £5000 towards this. The final plank in the jigsaw was to re-finish the floor which is being done shortly.

 

Why Wait?

The hall is a valuable community asset and has been improved immensely over the past two years making it suitable for many different functions and events.  It is now a hall to be proud of and we hope that the next time you want a venue for your party, lecture, fitness class or business activity you will consider our hall.  If you need some local facilities, or knows someone who does we hope you will consider this very useful community space.
